Lord God, source of life and infinite mercy,

On this day when our thoughts turn to those who have left us,

We come before you, full of love and gratitude for their lives.

For our relatives, our friends, and all those who have gone before us,

We entrust their souls to you, Lord, and ask you to welcome them into your light.

They have shared with us joy, tenderness, and precious memories,

Give them eternal rest in your divine peace.

Lord of mercy, we pray to you also for those who are still suffering in purgatory.

May our love, our prayers and our good deeds lighten their pain,

And guide them to you, in the splendour of your gracious presence.

Remember the forgotten souls, those whom no one names any more,

Forsaken souls who wander in silence and wait for a prayer.

May your grace be upon them, Lord, for they too are your children,

And may they, through your mercy, know the fullness of your love.

Lord, help us to honour the memory of our deceased by living according to your will,

Spreading kindness, love and compassion around us.

Make us bearers of light and hope,

Remembering those we love who rest in you.

In union with all the saints and all the angels,

We lift up our voices and our hearts to you,

Hoping that, when the day comes, we shall be united with them for eternity,

In the joy and peace of your heavenly Kingdom.

Lord, to you we entrust those we mourn,

May they find eternal rest in you and may endless light shine upon them.

Keep them close to us, in the sweet communion of love,

Until the day we meet again in blessed eternity.
