Lord Jesus, we entrust this novena to you, hoping that it will bring us closer to you and prepare us to celebrate your birth with dignity. We give you thanks for the priceless gift of your life, and we ask you to accompany each of our days with your grace and blessing. Amen.

First Day: 

The Promise of Hope: Lord Jesus, on this first day of our novena, we open our hearts to the hope that your birth brings. Allow us to see beyond the distractions of the season to recognise the promise of love and salvation you offer us. May our waiting be filled with the hope that springs from your coming among us.

Day Two: 

Light in the Darkness: Lord Jesus, you are the light of the world shining in the darkness. Help us to welcome your light into our lives, to cast away our fears and doubts, and to walk in the clarity of your truth and love.

Third Day:

The Joy of Salvation:Lord Jesus, your birth is a source of joy for the whole world. On this day, fill our hearts with the deep joy that only your love can offer. Help us to live in the joy of your salvation and to share that joy with everyone we meet.

Fourth day:

 Love Incarnate: Lord Jesus, by coming among us as a vulnerable child, you revealed to us God's infinite love for humanity. Teach us to love as you have loved, to give without counting the cost and to serve with humility.

Fifth day: 

Renewed Faith: Lord Jesus, renew our faith in your presence among us. Enable us to believe firmly in your love, mercy and saving power, even when we are going through times of doubt or despair.

Sixth day:

 Peace from Heaven: Lord Jesus, you are the Prince of Peace. On this day, grant us the peace that passes all understanding, a peace that calms our anxieties, eases our conflicts and unites our hearts in communion with you and with one another.

Seventh day:

 The Humility of the Manger: Lord Jesus, your humility in choosing to be born in a stable teaches us the value of simplicity and humility. Teach us to seek simplicity in our lives, to recognise the dignity of every person and to serve with a humble heart.

Eighth day: 

The Compassion of the Saviour: Lord Jesus, you came into the world to save and heal. Help us to open our hearts to compassion for those who suffer, to reach out to those in need and to be witnesses of your mercy in the world.

Ninth day: 

The Grace of a New Beginning: Lord Jesus, on this eve of your birth, prepare our hearts to welcome the grace of a new beginning. Allow us to leave behind our sins and weaknesses, and begin a new life in you, filled with faith, love and service.
