The sacred cradle of faith and history,

Your majestic image, erected at the heart of the city,

In this time of trial,

We entrust to you the wounded cathedral,

Witness to so many prayers, joys and sorrows.

Protect this holy place, O tender and compassionate Mother,

And guide those who work to restore it.

Inspire us to keep faith and hope,
