Saint Matthew, we entrust our intentions and our prayers to you during this novena. Intercede for us with Jesus, and obtain for us the graces we need. Amen.

Day One:

 Matthew's Call:  Saint Matthew, you responded immediately to Jesus' call while at the tax office. Help us to hear God's call in our lives and to respond with an open and generous heart.

Day Two: 

The Conversion of Matthew:  Saint Matthew, your encounter with Jesus led to a profound conversion. Challenge us with your transformation and inspire us to turn from sin and follow Christ faithfully.

Third Day: 

The Devoted Disciple: Saint Matthew, you followed Jesus devotedly, learning from his teachings and sharing in his ministry. Help us to be devoted disciples, eager to learn and to serve with zeal.

Day Four: 

The Evangelist and Witness: Saint Matthew, you wrote the Gospel that bears your name, bearing witness to the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. Help us to be faithful witnesses of the Gospel in our daily lives.

Fifth day:

 The Evangelizing Mission: Saint Matthew, you evangelized with courage and perseverance. Challenge us to share the Good News of Jesus with our families, friends and all those we meet.

Sixth day:

 Unshakable Faith: Saint Matthew, despite challenges and persecutions, your faith remained unshakable. Strengthen us in our faith, so that we may persevere in God's love, even in difficult times.

Day Seven: 

Charity and Mercy: Saint Matthew, you experienced God's mercy and shared it with others. Inspire us to live charity and to be instruments of God's mercy in the world.

Eighth day: 

Integrity and Justice: Saint Matthew, guide us along the path of integrity and justice. Help us to live according to the teachings of the Gospel and to seek the truth in all our actions.

Ninth day:

The Joy of the Kingdom of Heaven:

St. Matthew, you bore witness to the joy and hope of the Kingdom of Heaven. Challenge us to seek eternal life and to live in the hope of the resurrection.
