O O Saint Bernadette Soubirous,

You who were favoured with visions of the Virgin Mary at the grotto of Lourdes,

You whose humble faith and purity of spirit were a living witness to the grace of God,

We turn to you in this moment of prayer with trust and humility.

Saint Bernadette, you were chosen by God to be a witness to the maternal presence of the Virgin Mary,

And through your apparitions, you conveyed a message of love, penance and prayer to the whole world.

Help us to follow your example of faith and trust in God,

And to welcome with joy and obedience the divine will in our lives.

Saint Bernadette, you who bore your sufferings with patience and resignation,

Intercede for us with God, that we may find comfort and healing in our own trials.

May we, like you, offer our sufferings to God for the salvation of souls

And for the redemption of the world.

Saint Bernadette, you who lived a life of simplicity and humility in the service of God,

Help us to reject pride and selfishness,

And to embrace with joy the little things of daily life as opportunities for love and service.

Saint Bernadette, you who have been a model of purity and holiness for us all,

Help us to fight sin and grow in virtue,

That we may approach God with pure and sincere hearts.

Saint Bernadette, you who have been raised to the glory of the altars by the Church,

Obtain for us the grace to follow faithfully the way of Christ

And to live in the light of His truth and love.

O Holy Bernadette, pray for us and intercede for us with God,

That we may be worthy of the promises of Jesus Christ

And that we may one day join you in the eternal glory of heaven. Amen.
