Prayer to Saint Bernadette Soubirous
O Saint Bernadette, humble and dear messenger of the Virgin Mary, you who were chosen to receive the sweet visits of Our Lady at Lourdes, we turn to you with sincere faith and grateful hearts. You have been the channel of divine grace, and we invoke your intercession today with confidence.

You who contemplated heavenly beauty in the Grotto of Massabielle, open our hearts to the contemplation of God's loving presence in our daily lives. Inspire us, Saint Bernadette, to recognise the gentle voice of the Mother of God in the events of our lives, even when darkness threatens to envelop us.
In your simplicity, you responded with deep faith to Mary's call. Teach us, O dear saint, to welcome God's calls into our lives with humility, to respond with an open heart and to follow the path he lays out for us. May we, like you, be witnesses to the truth and light of the Gospel.
Saint Bernadette, you who drank from the miraculous spring that the Virgin indicated, intercede for us so that our souls may be purified and renewed. May the living water of divine grace gush forth in us, washing away our sins and giving us the strength to forge ahead on the path of holiness.
You who endured trials and suffering with unshakeable faith, look with compassion on the burdens that weigh on our shoulders. May your example of patience and trust in God inspire us in difficult times, and may we carry our crosses with courage and abandon.
Saint Bernadette, you who witnessed God's mercy at Lourdes, turn your gaze towards us sinners seeking reconciliation. Pray for us, that we may experience the fullness of divine forgiveness and that our hearts may be healed of every wound.
May your humility, your love for prayer and your devotion to the Holy Eucharist be models for us to follow. Help us to grow in our relationship with Jesus, present in the Blessed Sacrament, and to find in him the ultimate source of our comfort and strength.
Saint Bernadette, especially dear to Our Lady of Lourdes, protect and bless all pilgrims, the sick, and those who pray to you with confidence. May all who turn to you in faith receive the graces they need.
