Lord Jesus,
You who walk with Your people from the roads of Galilee to the paths of today's world,
We come to You with hearts filled with gratitude, amazed by the signs of Your presence in our lives.
You are the living God, the faithful God, the God who heals,
And we praise You for the miracle performed in the life of Your child, Antonietta Raco.
You saw her silent suffering,
You listened to her sighs in the darkness of illness,
And in Your infinite tenderness, You visited her at Lourdes,
Where Mary, Your Mother, reaches out to all wounded children.
You looked upon her with Your merciful gaze,
You spoke words of peace in the secret of her heart:
"Do not be afraid."
And life sprang forth again.
Lord, we thank You for this sign of light.
In a world often closed to hope,
You made the power of Your love burst forth.
Through Antonietta, You remind us that nothing is lost,
That even in our weakened bodies, You can lay down life.
Remember, Lord, all the pilgrims to Lourdes.
They come from the four corners of the earth, laden with pain,
Invisible burdens, burning prayers.
Some hope for a miracle, others seek peace.
Welcome them into Your open Heart,
Console those who do not obtain physical healing,
But offer their suffering as an act of love.
You alone know the mystery of every life.
Benish those who accompany the sick:
The stretcher-bearers, the doctors, the volunteers, the families.
May they be the outstretched hands of Your Gospel,
Instruments of compassion and comfort.
Give them strength, patience, the joy of loving without counting the cost.
Bénis tous ceux qui prient auprès de la grotte,
Cous qui se plongent dans les eaux de confiance,
Cous qui portent en silence les croix du quotidien.
Grow in them a living faith,
A faith that is not extinguished, even when trial lasts,
A humble faith, that believes in You even without seeing.
And You, Mary, Our Lady of Lourdes,
You who chose this grotto to visit Your people,
You the Mother of tenderness, the Consoler of the afflicted,
Pray for us.
Pray for Antonietta, that she may always remain faithful to her call.
Pray for the sick, the poor, the hopeless.
Pray that every pilgrim to Lourdes may leave renewed,
The heart lightened, the eyes turned towards the light.
Lord, in this blessed place where heaven has touched earth,
We lay down our lives, our tears, our hopes.
May your glory shine forth in broken hearts,
And may your love shine through every step towards You.
Amen.
