A couple united by GodLouis and Zélie Martin are not just the parents of Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus. They are saints themselves, canonised together, a striking sign that sanctity can be born in the everyday life of a home. Married in 1858 in Alençon, they chose from the start to live their married life as a path towards God. Their love was deep, tender and demanding. Together, they sought the Lord's will, endured trials, raised their children in the faith, and sowed peace around them.
