The Octave of Easter: eight days to enter into the joy of the Resurrection
The Easter Octave is one of the most intense and joyful periods of the liturgical year. For eight days, the Church extends the celebration of Christ’s Resurrection as if it were a single day. This period, which begins on Easter Sunday and ends on the following Sunday, known as Divine Mercy Sunday, invites the faithful to remain in the joy of Easter and to deepen their understanding of the central mystery of the Christian faith.
