Lord God, heavenly Father, On this All Saints' Day, we gather to give thanks for the lives of all your holy men and women who have walked before us on the path of faith. We thank you for their example, their dedication, and their steadfast love for you.

We pray to you, Lord, that you will give us the grace to follow in their footsteps. Help us to persevere in faith, to grow in love and to live a life that reflects the light of your Son, Jesus Christ. Grant us the wisdom to understand that holiness is not reserved for the few, but that every person can be called to holiness in his or her own life.

We ask you to bless all those who are in grief at this time, bringing them comfort and consolation. Grant them peace in the certainty that their deceased loved ones are in your presence, in eternal joy.

We also pray to you for all souls in need of your mercy, especially those still in purgatory. May your infinite mercy lead them to communion with you in heavenly glory.

Lord, grant us the strength and courage to live our faith to the full every day. Grant that in our actions we may be living witnesses to your love and grace. Help us to love our neighbours, to forgive, and to serve with humility.

We entrust to you all our intentions and prayers, especially those that reside in the silence of our hearts. We know that you hear our prayers, and we trust in your love and providence.
