They push wheelchairs, share a meal, listen to the stories of the sick and elderly. It's a transforming experience. Lord Jesus,

You who have called young people to follow you on the roads of yesterday and today,

bless those who come to Lourdes to seek your light.

May they find in this place a peace they find nowhere else,

a simple joy that cannot be bought,

a hope stronger than their doubts.

Give them to meet brothers and sisters in truth,

to taste the beauty of service,

and to discover that you are alive, in their midst, silent but present.

Through Mary, Our Lady of Lourdes,

grow in them the desire to love you,

and to love the world with your gaze.
