Cross of Forgiveness - Silvery Metal. This superb cross is made of silvery metal, size 11 x 7cm. During the First World War, the American government had combat rosaries made and distributed to all its soldiers. On this rosary was a very special cross: Cross of Forgiveness. In 1905, Pope St Pius X declared that anyone who wears or kisses the Cross of Forgiveness receives an indulgence of forgiveness for themselves and for the souls in Purgatory.

This Cross is very special because an indulgence is attached to it. The indulgence granted for the Cross of Forgiveness in 1905 is still valid today.
The use of the Cross of Forgiveness:
Be careful: it is not a magical object, but a sacramental that moves us towards greater holiness. I do not obtain forgiveness of my sins just by kissing the Cross, but it is necessary to fulfil the conditions explained above with faith. It is by faith that we are saved. We must have a true walk of heart and a true love of God and of Our Lady.
